Dr. Ozs Enzyme Boosting Green Drink to the rescue!

Me, of course! Ive been feeling way too tired for way too long and then I happened to catch the Dr. Oz show and he was talking about a little green drink that can get me over those tired of feeling tired days weeks months.
He had me at hello tired! Apparently theres something called enzymes that are really, really important to the healthy functioning of our bodies. In fact, without enzymes, our bodies cant function at all.
So, I started researching enzymes and, well, I wrote

As youll see, if you scoot on over to the TIRED OF BEING TIRED link there are lots and lots of nasty diseases, aches and pains that are caused by low enzymes, so Im going to start focusing on including a significant amount of enzyme rich foods in my daily diet because Im really tired of being tired. If you think you dont like green drinks this is an easy one to start with because there are a lot of fruits in it so its plenty sweet and hides a plethora of good for you veggies. (wink, wink)
This lovely green drink recipe is also high in fiber, low-calorie and rich in vitamins.
Dr. Ozs Enzyme Boosting Green Drink
Makes 3-4 servings (about 28-30 oz)
Ingredients:
- 2 Cups Spinach
- 1/2 Cucumber
- 1/4 Head of Celery
- 1/2 Bunch Parsley
- 1 Bunch Mint
- 3 Carrots
- 2 Apples
- 1/4 Orange (outer peel removed, leave pith)
- 1/4 Lime (outer peel removed, leave pith)
- 1/4 Lemon (outer peel removed, leave pith)
- 1/4 Pineapple (outer peel removed)
Directions Combine all ingredients in your Vitamix blender. Serve and enjoy!
Based on what Dr. Oz said about his favorite Enzyme Boosting Green Drink Im expecting to feel better, lose weight, have more energy, and feel less aches and pains very soon! Sounds like a miracle to me and certainly worthy of a good go.

On the enyzime green drink shouldthe orange/lime/lemon have the skins removed

Hi, just got my Vitamix yesterday. I tried this recipe and it came out very thick. And a little bitter (parsley?). Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!
Hi Amy, Congrats on your new Vitamix. So far as the thickness of the smoothie, Id recommend adding a bit more water until its the consistency you enjoy. So far as the bitterness, it could be the spinach or the parsley. There is quite a bit of fruit in this so I havent ever experienced a bitterness. You might taste each of the greens separately and see which one seems to be bitter. It could just be the particular bunch that you bought and on another day it wouldnt be bitter at all.
